Tumbler & Pin Locksmiths

24 hour locksmith in Milton

Lockouts, rekeys, deadbolts, smart locks and break-in repairs. Tumbler & Pin Locksmiths will quote the price on the phone and try non-destructive entry first.

24/7 emergency serviceNon-destructive entry firstBonded & insuredUpfront price on the phone

Tumbler & Pin Locksmiths will answer the phone at two in the morning and quote the price before driving out, which in this trade is most of what people are looking for. Locks get picked before they get drilled, identification gets checked before anything opens, and we will tell you when a rekey does the job that new hardware would only do more expensively. Break-ins get secured first and repaired properly afterward.

Tumbler & Pin Locksmiths is invented, and that number is a 555 line. Your site says your name.

Services

The work locksmiths actually sell.

Written out properly, because a list of one-word services tells a homeowner nothing. Delete the ones you do not do and add the ones we missed.

Emergency lockouts

House, apartment, office and car lockouts opened without damage wherever the lock allows it, day or night, with identification checked first.

Rekeying & lock changes

New keys cut to your existing locks after a move, a breakup or a lost keyring — usually cheaper and faster than replacing the hardware.

Deadbolts & door hardware

Graded deadbolts, reinforced strike plates and long screws into the framing, which is what actually stops a kicked door, not the lock itself.

Smart locks & keypads

Keypad and connected locks fitted to doors that were never quite square, aligned so they still latch in February.

Master key systems

Keying plans for landlords, offices and shops so one key opens what it should and nothing it should not, documented for future changes.

Commercial door hardware

Panic bars, closers, electric strikes, mortise locks and access control fitted so the exit stays legal and the door stops dragging.

Safes opened, moved & serviced

Combination changes, lockouts and relocations for home and retail safes, opened by manipulation or drilling and repair where there is no other way.

Break-in repair & board-up

Forced doors and split frames made secure the same night, then repaired and rehung with hardware that resists the next attempt.

Credentials

The things a customer checks before they ring.

Listed near the top of the page instead of buried in an About tab. Fill in your numbers and delete anything you do not hold.

  • Certified Registered Locksmith (ALOA)

Certification through the Associated Locksmiths of America, examined and kept current.

  • Bonded, insured and background-checked

Criminal record check on every technician, and a certificate of insurance available before we attend.

  • Identification checked on every lockout

We ask for proof you live or work there before opening anything. It is not a formality.

  • Restricted keyway systems

Authorised dealer for patented key systems, so copies can only be cut with your written authorisation.

  • Marked vehicles and named technicians

You are told who is coming and what the vehicle looks like before they arrive.

  • Written price before we start

The number quoted on the phone is the number on the invoice, including after-hours.

On your booking calendar

The jobs people book you for.

These land in the calendar the day you publish. A customer picks one, picks a slot out of your real hours, and the request arrives with the address and what is wrong.

Questions

What people ask locksmiths.

Answered on your site, so the same conversation does not happen on the phone six times a week. Edit any of them.

I am locked out. How fast can you get here and what will it cost?

We give you an arrival window and a price on the phone before dispatching, including the after-hours rate. Be wary of anyone who quotes a suspiciously low call-out and then adds charges at the door — that is the oldest trick in this trade. Have identification ready, because we will ask for proof you belong there.

Will you have to drill my lock?

Rarely. Most residential locks can be picked or bypassed without damage, and non-destructive entry is always what we attempt first. High-security cylinders and some automotive locks occasionally have to be drilled, in which case we tell you the cost of the replacement cylinder before touching it, not after.

Should I rekey or replace my locks after moving in?

Rekey, in most cases. If the hardware is decent and the doors are sound, we simply repin the existing cylinders to a new key, which costs far less than new locks and takes a fraction of the time. Replace when the hardware is worn out, when you want a higher security grade, or when you want everything on one key.

Do better locks actually stop break-ins?

Partly. Most forced entries defeat the door frame, not the lock, so the highest-value upgrades are a graded deadbolt with a full one-inch throw, a reinforced strike plate, and three-inch screws that reach the stud behind the jamb. Good hardware in a weak frame is a strong lock on a piece of cardboard.

Can you make a key if I have lost all of them?

Usually yes. For doors we can pick or disassemble the lock and originate a key from the cylinder. For vehicles it depends on the year and system, since most modern keys have to be programmed to the car as well as cut, and some require the dealer. Tell us the year, make and model on the phone and we will tell you honestly which it is.

How do I know a locksmith is legitimate?

Ask for a business name and address, get the price up front, expect a marked vehicle and identification, and expect to be asked for your own. Locksmithing is not a licensed trade in every province, which is exactly why those checks matter — anyone unwilling to answer them should not be opening your door.

Other locksmiths in your town are already findable.

Be the one who answers. Ten dollars a month, flat — and your trade is already written, so you are filling in a form, not building a website.
