Terms

You pay ten dollars a month, we host your website and take bookings for you. You own your content. We are not part of the deal between you and your customer. That is most of it.

Who this is between

“We” is TradeForge, an Ontario company. “You” is the person or business with the account. Using TradeForge means you accept what is on this page. If you are signing up on behalf of a company, you are confirming you are allowed to.

The plan and the trial

  • One plan, ten Canadian dollars a month, everything included.
  • Fourteen days free from signup. We do not ask for payment details until the trial ends.
  • It renews monthly until you cancel. Cancel from your dashboard, any time, without ringing anyone.
  • Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not refund the month you are already in.
  • If we ever change the price, existing accounts get sixty days' notice by email before it applies.

Your content is yours

Everything you write, upload and publish stays yours — words, photographs, logo, customer list, bookings, the lot. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the public on your website, because that is the service. That permission ends when you delete the content or close the account.

What you promise us

  • That your licence number, certifications and insurance details are real and current. This is the one that matters. Publishing a licence number that is not yours is fraud, and we will take the site down the moment we know about it.
  • That you have the right to use the photographs you upload — that you took them, or the person who did said yes.
  • That you will honour the bookings your site takes, or tell the customer promptly that you can't.
  • That you won't use TradeForge for anything illegal, misleading, or aimed at somebody else's reputation.

Bookings are between you and your customer

When somebody books through your site, we pass on the request. We are not a party to the job, we do not set your prices, we do not vet your customers, and we take no cut of what you invoice. If the job goes wrong, that is between the two of you — although we will happily hand over whatever records we hold to help sort it out.

We also do not promise you any particular number of customers, calls or bookings. Nobody honestly can.

Photo quotes are estimates, not quotes

The photo assessment tool reads photographs and describes likely work and a rough range. It is generated automatically, it can be wrong, and it says so on every assessment. It is not a quote from you, it is not binding on you, and it does not replace looking at the job. Check what goes out under your name.

Uptime, in plain terms

We work hard to keep your site up and we monitor it. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime figure, because at ten dollars a month a guarantee like that would be a marketing line rather than a promise. Things occasionally break; when they do we fix them quickly and say what happened.

When we would suspend an account

  • Payment has failed and stayed failed after we have told you about it.
  • Credentials on the site appear to be false.
  • The account is being used for something illegal, or to impersonate another business.
  • Something is putting the service at risk for everyone else on it.

Except where the law or safety requires otherwise, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Closing your account

You can close it whenever you like. Your site goes offline, and we hold your content for thirty days in case you change your mind. Export your text and download your photos before then, or ask us and we will send you a copy.

What we are liable for

If we cause you a loss, our total liability is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before it happened. We are not liable for lost profits or for work you did not win. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

The service is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will suit every business or be free of faults.

Changes to these terms

We will email you at least thirty days before any change that affects your rights or the price. Carrying on using TradeForge after that means you accept the new version; if you would rather not, cancel and we will refund the unused part of the month.

Which law applies

The laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in it. If it ever came to a court, it would be a court in Ontario.
