Bolt & Bracket

Handyman services in Milton

The list on your fridge, done in one visit — mounting, patching, fixtures, doors and repairs. Bolt & Bracket will quote before starting and clean up before leaving.

Half-day & full-day ratesOne visit, whole listInsured & background checkedTidy work

Bolt & Bracket exists for the jobs that are too small for a specialist and too annoying to keep ignoring. We show up in the window we promised, we bring the right tools, we fix the whole list rather than one item, and we tell you honestly when a job needs a licensed trade instead. Same person each time, so you are not explaining your house from scratch.

Bolt & Bracket is invented, and that number is a 555 line. Your site says your name.

Services

The work handymen actually sell.

Written out properly, because a list of one-word services tells a homeowner nothing. Delete the ones you do not do and add the ones we missed.

TV mounting & shelving

Mounted into studs or proper anchors, cables hidden where the wall allows, and levelled properly the first time.

Door & lock adjustment

Doors that stick, latch that misses the strike, sagging hinges, new deadbolts and weatherstripping on the front door.

Drywall patching & touch-up paint

Holes, dents and old anchor scars filled, sanded and painted back to matching — the small list that never gets done.

Faucet, toilet & vanity swaps

Like-for-like fixture replacements with new supply lines and shutoffs, so nothing drips behind the cabinet later.

Light fixtures & ceiling fans

Fixture swaps on existing circuits, with fan-rated boxes where a fan is going in — anything beyond that we hand to a licensed electrician.

Furniture & flat-pack assembly

Beds, wardrobes, shelving and playsets assembled and anchored to the wall where they should be.

Deck, fence & gate repairs

Rotten boards replaced, wobbly railings re-secured, gates rehung so they close, and a coat of stain if you want it.

Grab bars & aging-in-place safety

Grab bars blocked into studs, handrails, raised toilet seats and threshold ramps installed so they hold real weight.

Caulking, weatherstripping & seasonal jobs

Tub and window caulking redone, drafts sealed, screens repaired, and the seasonal list knocked off in one visit.

Credentials

The things a customer checks before they ring.

Listed near the top of the page instead of buried in an About tab. Fill in your numbers and delete anything you do not hold.

  • $2M liability insurance

Certificate available before we come out.

  • WSIB coverage

    Clearance certificate provided on request.

  • Police background check

Cleared record check on file — we are often in homes with kids and older parents.

  • Working at Heights certified

Current certification for ladder and roofline work.

  • Licensed trades for licensed work

Gas, new electrical circuits and structural work go to licensed trades — we will tell you which is which.

On your booking calendar

The jobs people book you for.

These land in the calendar the day you publish. A customer picks one, picks a slot out of your real hours, and the request arrives with the address and what is wrong.

Designs

Three that suit handymen.

All ten carry the same tools — booking, photo quotes, galleries, reviews, licence details. These are the ones that tend to look right on this kind of work, drawn here as Bolt & Bracket. Start with one, or open its live demo first.

Questions

What people ask handymen.

Answered on your site, so the same conversation does not happen on the phone six times a week. Edit any of them.

How does your pricing work?

Most jobs are booked in blocks: a two-hour minimum, a half day or a full day, with the rate quoted before we arrive. Small predictable jobs like a TV mount or a faucet swap we will quote flat. You get more value out of a half day with a list of eight things than out of four separate call-outs, so save them up.

What jobs will you not do?

Anything requiring a licence we do not hold: gas fitting, new electrical circuits or panel work, structural changes, and roofing beyond a small repair. We will tell you straight away and, if you want, point you to a licensed trade who does. Nobody is well served by a handyman guessing at gas.

Do you supply materials?

We carry standard fasteners, anchors, caulking and consumables. For anything specific — a particular faucet, a light fixture, a mount, a paint colour — either you buy it and we install it, or we pick it up and bill the receipt plus the pickup time. Buying it yourself is usually cheaper.

How soon can you come?

Usually within a few days for a normal booking, and we keep some short-notice slots each week. You will get an arrival window rather than a vague morning-or-afternoon, and a message if we are running behind — being told is most of what people actually want.

Can you handle a whole list in one visit?

That is the ideal booking. Send the list when you book, including photos, so we bring the right materials and set aside the right amount of time. If we get through it early, we will start on anything else you have; if something turns out bigger than it looked, we tell you before starting it, not after.

Do you clean up?

Yes. Drop sheets down, tools packed up, debris taken with us and the floor vacuumed. If we cut drywall, the dust gets contained rather than swept around your house.

Other handymen in your town are already findable.

Be the one who answers. Ten dollars a month, flat — and your trade is already written, so you are filling in a form, not building a website.
