We hold three things: your account, the website you built, and the enquiries your customers send you. We don't sell any of it, we don't track people around the internet, and you can take it all with you.
The short version
You give us enough to run your website. Your customers give your website enough to book a job. We store it, we show it to the people it was meant for, and that is the end of it. There are no advertising trackers on TradeForge or on any site published with it.
What we collect from you
- Your account: name, email address, phone number, and a password we never see in readable form.
- Your website: everything you type or upload — business name, licence number, insurance details, services, prices, hours, service areas, photos, and the words on every page. You published these on purpose; they are public.
- Your billing: handled by our payment processor. We see that a payment succeeded and which card brand and last four digits it used. We never receive your full card number.
What your customers give your website
When somebody books a job, sends a message or asks for a photo quote on your site, they provide their name, phone number, email, address, a description of the problem and sometimes photographs. That information is yours. We hold it on your behalf so it can appear in your dashboard, and we do not use it for anything else — no marketing, no resale, no cross-referencing between accounts.
If a customer asks you to delete their details, you can remove them yourself from your dashboard, or ask us and we will.
Photographs sent for a quote
Photos uploaded for a photo quote are stored with your site’s files and are sent to our AI provider once, for that one request, so it can write the assessment. They are not used to train anything. They stay available in your dashboard until you delete them.
How we count visits
Published sites record a small event when a page is viewed, a call button is tapped, a booking is started, a form is submitted or a photo quote is requested. Each event stores the kind of event, the page path, the referring site and the time. That is all.
- No cookie is set for analytics, on your site or ours.
- No IP address is stored against an event.
- No visitor profile is built, and nothing is shared with an advertising network.
It exists so you can answer one question — is this working? — and it is deliberately too crude to do anything else.
Who else touches the data
- Our hosting and database provider, which stores your site, your bookings and your files.
- Our AI provider, which reads the answers you give during setup and the photos sent for quotes, in order to write copy and assessments.
- Our payment processor, which handles the ten dollars a month.
- Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade any of it, and there is no advertising business attached to this company.
How long we keep it
While your account is open, we keep everything, because you are still using it. If you cancel, your site goes offline and we hold your content for thirty days in case you come back, then delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will do it within seven days.
Records we have to keep for tax and accounting — invoices, essentially — we keep for as long as Canadian law requires, and no longer.
What you can ask for
- A copy of everything we hold about you, in a form you can actually open.
- A correction, if something is wrong.
- Deletion of your account and everything in it.
- An explanation of anything on this page that reads like a lawyer wrote it.
Email hello@tradeforge.app and say which one. No form, no ticket number.
Security, honestly
Traffic is encrypted, passwords are hashed, and access to customer data is restricted at the database level so one shop can never read another shop’s job list. No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you what happened and what we did about it, promptly and in plain words.
Children
TradeForge is for people running a business. It is not intended for anyone under sixteen, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this page in a way that matters, we will email you before it takes effect — not quietly swap the date at the top.
Questions about any of this? hello@tradeforge.app — a person reads it.
