What we do
Electrical services in Milton
Licensed electricians for Milton homes, farms and shops
Panel & service upgrades
60 and 100 amp panels swapped to 200 amp service, usually in a day. We pull the permit, coordinate the Hydro One or Milton Hydro disconnect, and book the ESA inspection before we leave.
From$2,400
EV charger installation
Level 2 chargers wired to code with a load calculation done first, so your panel can actually carry the car. We handle the permit and the rebate paperwork.
From$850
Emergency & no-power calls
Dead circuits, burning smells, breakers that won't reset, half the house dark. A licensed electrician answers the phone at 2am, not an answering service.
From$180 call-out
Pot lights & interior lighting
LED pot lights cut into finished ceilings with minimal drywall damage, dimmers matched to the fixtures so nothing buzzes or flickers.
From$135 per light
Knob-and-tube & aluminum rewiring
Full and partial rewires for older Milton, Acton and Georgetown houses, documented the way insurers want to see it before they'll renew.
Generators & transfer switches
Standby and portable generator hookups with a proper interlock or transfer switch. No extension cords into the dryer plug.
Inspections & ESA certificates
Pre-purchase electrical inspections, and certificates for finished basements, garages and second units that were wired before you owned them.

About
Seventeen years of Halton panels
Ryan Petrelli wired his first Milton subdivision in 2003 and started Sixteen Mile Electric out of one van in 2009. We're six licensed electricians and four trucks now, and the job hasn't changed: show up in the window we promised, pull the permit, and leave the panel tidier than we found it. Most of our work is within twenty minutes of the shop — Milton, Campbellville, Georgetown and Acton — and roughly half of it is for people we've already worked for. If a job needs a trade we don't do, we'll tell you who we'd call ourselves.

What customers say
Our panel started buzzing on a Sunday night and Ryan picked up on the second ring. He talked me through shutting off the main, was here by 8am Monday, and had a new 200 amp panel in before dinner. The ESA inspector came Thursday and had nothing to say. Price was exactly the quote.

We got three quotes for the EV charger. Sixteen Mile was the only one who did a load calculation instead of eyeballing the panel, and the only one who mentioned the permit. Charger's been running eight months with zero drama.

Knob and tube through most of the upstairs, and our insurance company was about to drop us. These guys rewired it in stages so we never had to move out, and wrote up a letter the insurer accepted without a single question.

Pot lights in the living room and hallway. Two guys, one day, and the drywall patching was so tidy the painter asked who did it. They even vacuumed.

Generator interlock on my shop panel. They were a week later starting than I'd hoped because of a storm callout, but they told me straight away instead of leaving me hanging, and the work is first rate.

Questions
Before you call
If the whole street is dark it's the utility, and we'll tell you that on the phone rather than charge you to find out. If it's just your house, we aim to be there the same day — most Milton calls before noon get done that afternoon.
Yes. Any service or panel work in Ontario needs an ESA notification, and your home insurance can be voided without the certificate. We pull it, we pay for it out of the quoted price, and we book the inspection.
Most Milton garages land between $850 and $1,600 installed, depending on how far the run is from the panel and whether there's a spare 40 amp slot. If your panel is full we'll price the upgrade separately so you can decide.
Quotes for planned work — pot lights, chargers, panel upgrades, rewires — are free. Diagnostic calls where you need us to find a fault are $180 plus HST for the first hour, and we waive it if you go ahead with the repair.
Yes. About a third of our work is agricultural and light industrial — 200 and 400 amp shop services, three phase, well pumps and barn subpanels around Campbellville and Nassagaweya.
Drop sheets go down before the tools come out, and we vacuum. Drywall cuts get patched and sanded ready for paint unless you'd rather your own painter handle it.
