About Clearpane Glass
Clearpane Glass will handle glass from a broken basement window to a frameless shower to a storefront that needs securing before dark. Sealed units get swapped into your existing frames when the frames are still good, shower glass is templated after the tile is done, and safety glass goes wherever the code says it goes. Emergencies get boarded first and priced second.

What we offer
Our services
Work we take on for homes and businesses in Milton and nearby.
- 01
Emergency board-up & glass replacement
Broken storefront or house window secured the same day, then measured and replaced properly once the opening is safe and dry.
- 02
Foggy sealed unit replacement
Failed double-pane units replaced in your existing frames, so you fix the condensation without buying whole new windows.
- 03
Custom shower glass
Frameless and semi-frameless enclosures templated to the actual walls — tiled walls are never plumb, and a stock kit will show it.
- 04
Mirrors & wall glass
Gym, vanity and closet mirrors cut, edged and installed flat, plus glass backsplashes and wall panels in the colour you pick.
- 05
Storefront & commercial entrances
Aluminum storefront glazing, door closers, pivots and panic hardware repaired or replaced so the entrance latches and closes properly.
- 06
Glass railings & partitions
Tempered and laminated glass railings, guards and office partitions installed to the height and loading the Building Code requires.
- 07
Table tops & shelving
Glass cut to template with polished or bevelled edges, tempered where it needs to be, delivered and set in place.
- 08
Screens & window hardware
Rescreening, cranks, balances, rollers and locks replaced so a window that will not open stops being a reason to replace the whole unit.

Good questions
Frequently asked
Usually not. Fog means the sealed unit has failed and moisture is inside the glass sandwich; the frame, sash and hardware are often perfectly fine. We measure the unit, order the replacement glass and swap it into your existing frame, which typically costs a fraction of a full window. If the frame itself is rotten or the sash is failing, we will tell you it is not worth the glass.
We board or film the opening the same day so the building is secure and dry, and take the measurements while we are there. Tempered and custom sizes take a few days to come in; standard clear glass is often next day. Keep the broken glass in place until we arrive if it is holding — pulling it out yourself usually turns one repair into two.
Because it is made once, for your opening. Tiled walls are rarely plumb or square, so the glass is templated after the tile is finished, cut and tempered to those dimensions, and cannot be adjusted afterwards. Thicker frameless glass, notching for hardware, and low-iron or coated glass all move the price. A semi-frameless enclosure gets you most of the look for meaningfully less.
In and beside doors, in shower and tub enclosures, in guards and railings, and in glazing close to the floor or a walking surface — the exact cases are set out in the Building Code. Tempered glass cannot be cut or drilled after it is made, which is why the measurements have to be right before it is ordered.
Often, yes. Obscure patterns, wired glass in older buildings, tinted and low-E coatings and heritage sizes are all still available in some form, though a few patterns are discontinued and need a close substitute. Send a photo of the pane and any stamp in the corner, and we will tell you what can be matched.
