About us
About Truecoat Collision
18Years of experience
Truecoat Collision will repair collision damage the way the manufacturer says to, which increasingly means looking the procedure up rather than relying on how it was done twenty years ago. Structures get measured, colours get sprayed onto a test card before they go on your car, driver assistance sensors get recalibrated, and our refinish is warrantied for as long as you own the vehicle. Bring us the claim number and we will handle the insurer.
What we do
Collision repair services in Milton
Insurance claims, structural repair, dents and refinishing. Truecoat Collision will match the colour on a test card first and deal with the adjuster so you do not have to.
Collision repair & insurance claims
Full estimate written for your insurer, parts ordered, and the car put back to pre-accident condition with the paperwork handled for you.
Structural & frame straightening
Unibody and frame damage measured on a bench against factory dimensions and pulled back to spec, not eyeballed straight.
Paint & colour matching
Panels refinished in a downdraft booth with the colour computer-matched to your paint code and blended into the adjacent panels.
Dent removal & paintless repair
Door dings, hail and creases massaged out from behind where the paint is unbroken, which keeps the original factory finish.
Bumper & plastic repair
Cracked and torn bumper covers repaired and refinished where that is sound, replaced where it is not, with sensors and cameras refitted.
Rust repair & panel replacement
Rockers, wheel arches and quarter panels cut back to clean metal and properly patched, then sealed and undercoated so it does not bloom again next spring.
ADAS sensor recalibration
Cameras and radar recalibrated after glass, bumper or suspension work so lane keeping and automatic braking see what they are supposed to see.
Glass, trim & detailing
Windshields, mouldings and clips replaced properly, and the vehicle cleaned inside and out before you pick it up.

Questions
Frequently asked
If your question isn't here, call us — we would rather explain it than have you guess.
No. You choose who repairs your vehicle. An insurer can recommend a preferred shop, and there are conveniences to that, but the decision is yours and we deal with every insurer either way. We will write the estimate, submit it and handle the adjuster so you are not the go-between.
That is the whole craft. We pull your paint code, mix and spray-out a test card to confirm it against your actual panel — sun and age move every colour — and then blend into the neighbouring panels rather than stopping hard at a seam. Metallics, pearls and three-stage reds are the hardest, which is why we test before we spray your car rather than after.
A bumper and a blend is a few days. Structural work depends almost entirely on parts availability, and that is the honest answer for every shop right now. We give you a target date once the vehicle is apart and all the parts are confirmed, and we tell you when it moves instead of letting you find out on pick-up day.
Insurers total a vehicle when the repair cost approaches its actual cash value, so an older car with structural damage often gets written off even when it is repairable. We give you the estimate and tell you plainly where it sits against the value. If you own it outright and want it repaired anyway, we will explain what a rebuilt status means for resale before you commit.
Yes, and this gets missed. Windshield cameras, radar behind the bumper and blind spot sensors in the quarter panels all require recalibration after related work, and some need a specific target setup rather than a drive cycle. We follow the manufacturer's procedure and document that it was done — this is a safety system, not a convenience feature.
We can fix it properly, which means cutting out the affected metal, welding in a patch, sealing the seams and coating the inside of the panel. What does not work is grinding, filling and painting over it — it will come back through in a season or two. We will tell you honestly when a rust repair costs more than the vehicle is worth.
